    Program named "Hardware Helper"

Does anyone have experience or knowledge of the above programme as a means of identifying and updating drivers after up-grading to Win7 please?

I would not recommend using this software.

You can identify hardware and software with SIW or other appropriate software. I would never let software update my drivers. I recommend going to the manufacturer's website for all driver updates.

CNET, which I like, has a tracker program to identify drivers that need updating. You can use this for the identification, but again, get the drivers yourself. I can't stress this enough.

Thanks Lemur, that's much the reply I expected. I'll have a look at CNET's programme. I have been using PC Wizard for some years and the two appear to be very similar.

I agree, don't let software track your drivers. I have, however, used Driver Genius to track down the main drivers for me when I desperately needed them, just to get it working until I could go on the manufacturer's website and download the drivers from there.

I strongly agree with Lemur. Follow his advice.
