iPod Shuffle wont recgonized

I have a 2nd generation iPod Shuffle. Yesterday I went to add new songs to the Ipod and it worked perfectly, I removed the iPod from your computer without doing the "Safe Remove ". When I connect the iPod to the computer again, neither Itunes or the computer recognize it. The Ipod still works. I've tried to do everything the Apple site tells us to do, nothing worked. I tried uninstalling the driver and install it again, but it happens an installation error an. What should I do?

I just realized that the problem is when I connect the Ipod to the computer, and it tries to install the software and it happens an error. PLEASE HELP!!
