    VAIO Motion eye problem

    Hi my motion eye on my vaio has all of a sudden decided to show just a black screen when being used, i have tried uninstalling old drivers, installing new ones, some giving me the blue screen of deathh and restarting my pc when i try to use the cam. Can anybody shed some light on my problem.
    I have gogled but not found anything that seems to work for my specific model.
    Please someone give me a link to somebody who has had this problem previously and fixed it. Thanks for your time.

    Thanks for welcoming me and helping me out, but which one of those drivers is suposed to help me on that list???? None of them look like they are cam drivers. Do i have to go to the higher level directory and go into the camera section? If so which one should help me then?

    Ive tried lots of links and drivers from here and google. Ive tried reinstalling the old drivers off my recovery disks i made when i first got the laptop and still no luck. Windows 7 was already on this laptop, i did a clean install and everything including the camera has been working fine since i got it in may/june. It just suddenly decided in the past 7 days to just throw up the black screen when the camera is quite clearly on and working as i get the little green light next to it. Its a mystery to me cos ive followed what others did to fix the black screen but it hasnt worked for me. Im sure its something to do with a windows update messing with something.

    have you tried a system restore prior to when the problem began ? System Restore also run the sfc /scannow command to see if you have any corrupted system files SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker hope this helps you :)

    I have done a system restore already, it messed a few things up like stopping me from being the administrator and i had to restore again to get permissions back, luckily got everything back, so im back where i was in the first place, i might try another restore, failing that, give up. Do you know what driver/s on that list is purely for the webcam? As at the bottom theres a few vaio programs.

    Hi ian , Without knowing the model # of the webcam I cannot tell you which driver to use When you reinstalled win7 did you load the Sony software in the correct order?
    1= Sony shared library
    2= setting utility series
    3= Vaio event services
    4= Vaio control centre
    If the above software is installed incorrectly it can lead to problems
