    Phoenix AwardBIOS

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a BIOS update for my E-System laptop but don't think I should have to pay for it. Does any1 know where I can get hold of the latest Phoenix AwardBIOS update?

I know the latest is v6 and I want it! *stamps feet* LOL

    Cheers

Pay for a bios update ...that's ludicrous. e-system charges its pc owners to fix e-systems mistakes or improve stability and usability?

Wish I could help, but you would know better than me where to get something for free.

    Good Luck

You can boot to it, or type system info in search and click on system information, it's in there.

Orb, you gotta be kidding me. You have to PAY for a BIOS update?!?

I'm in shock. Revolt. Kill. Exceedingly foul language!

(And yes, 'Beginning', that appears to be your BIOS version)

I remember several years ago, I had a Phx Bios I wanted to upgrade, & every where I looked on the internet, they wanted to sell you a new chip with the bios already installed. So I was more careful when I picked my motherboards, that they would have Award Bios chips.

The bull$h1t icing on the cake is that if you go through the right channels (esupport.com) you get redirected to another site & have to pay nearly $40 for an update!!

You would have thought that it would be free considering I paid full price for my laptop

Thanks for the interest though guys & gals
