Hmm that's strange really because for me I was able to install the newest drivers with no compatibility use at all using the Vista drivers for my G15 keyboard & MX518 mouse. Both 32 & 64 bit!
Everything works perfectly too.

First: To disable compatibility mode, simply right click on the installer exe, click properties, then go to the compatibility tab and disable. Second, if you have used compatibility mode and failed, then delete all the install files related to gamepanel in Program Files, Program Data, and User Local App Data. Then reinstall. This is what worked for me, but considering nobody else had this problem I think this advice will generally go unheard :P

The download from logitech isn't a .rar file so I believe that was part of the problem.

If the Op was getting a .rar then he didn't get it directly from Logitech.

I've installed that same driver no less than twenty times and it worked every single time...the Logitech G9 mouse driver on the other hand is a bit trickier to install.

Now if I could figure out how to keep WMP from running all the time, the media display might actually work properly with Winamp

The WiMP runs b/c it automatically sets itself up with the Windows Sideshow for the G-Series KBs. To disable it, you'll need to do the following:

Click Start Orb
type in sideshow
Select Windows Sideshow
uncheck Both checks associated with Windows Media Player.

A reboot *may* be needed to achieve this.

Also, I am marking this thread as solved b/c the new 3.03 drivers do, indeed, work a lot better with W7 natively than the 3.02 installer or the 3.01 driver did. Even if it is Beta....
