    HP Webcam not working

So my HP Webcam wasn't able to be recognized by any software so I went to Device Manager and Uninstalled the driver after checking for a newer version. Afterwards it only installed as a USB Video Device.

I just had to completely reinstall my Windows 7 OS so it didn't have the driver saved.

Any way I can get it to be recognized again?

    Thanks in advance!

it is a built in webcam, that's part of the problem cause i can't simply unplug it.

I tried driverguide and choose one of them for USB Video Camera, but it didn't seem to work. However I uninstalled in device manager and now it came back as HP Webcam. but still can't get it to detect the camera so i can use it :/

    update:
Ok after restarting out of safemode the YouCam software still says no camera detected. however if i go on facebook and choose to take a snapshot, the light for my webcam turns on, but the picture doesn't. haha

    I have a HP HDX16t-1200 laptop with windows 7 64 fyi

    webcam hardware id:

    USB\VID_0408&PID_03BA&REV_0109&MI_00
    USB\VID_0408&PID_03BA&MI_00

interestingly I ran driverchecker and it didn't seem to pickup the webcam, but I then opened facebook again and tried to 'take a picture' and the webcam turned on and displayed an image for a minute, then froze. the kind of froze where the video freezes and the light sorta dims, but stays on even after you close everything. so i restarted and it doesn't detect it on facebook now..

btw one of my roommates has the same exact laptop as me, would it work to copy the driver from his computer? i just don't know where and which driver it is for part of it. I'm sure its C:\Windows\System32\drivers..
