    DVD Rom Driver

    • I was wondering if this came out yet because I checked on both Toshibas website and The Windows 7 homepage and nothing was up as of yet. My dvd drive does that recognize disks and I am not able to chose anything as an option. Other than that Windows 7 has been awesome so far

    To clarify, your DVD is not recognized under W7? Do you have a flag in your Device Manager?

    I do not see one. I even checked to see if I could update the hardware but it said I was up to date so im curious to see what the reason is for not working

    The obvious questions are;

    1 - Are you certain it works?
    2 - What's the drive model?
    3 - How did you install W7 without a working drive..?

    The drive model is M305 4815 series of toshiba satellite laptops. I have Linux as my main operating system but I wanted to try 7 with some spare gigs

    I would check the Toshiba Support site or possibly this site for updates for your particular system.
