Windows 7: I have a 64 bit OS, but 32 bit drivers installed on my C: drive. Help!

my other one is IDE, and has lods of pins.
So to clarify...I can buy ANY SATA hard drive then? The interface doesn't matter? should i just buy the samsung one I posted before?

Any 2.5" SATA hdd yes. The one you posted earlier is fine.

This is a SATA vs IDE connector:


You want to get a SATA harddrive. As long as it is a laptop harddrive, it should fit.

I think google images has confused her with sata converters attached and the like, so she thinks there are different SATA connections. They are industry standard so any 2.5" SATA hdd will fit.

installed XP now have no drivers.
I have a HP DV6000 I installed win 7 and but xp on after with a dual boot. I had to disable my sata native inorder to istall XP and have to keep it disabled in order to boot to XP or I get the blue screen of death and pc will reboot. my problem is I have no internet, sound and I think no video...
