    HP Laserjet 2200d

I was wondering if anyone can help with driver for LJ2200 (duplex) that I can install across the network. Or if there is another way to install this printer

    Thanks

Look for the Vista drivers for your printer model. They should work with the Windows 7 version you have. Just be sure to get 32-bit or 64-bit depending on what you've installed as your Windows 7 OS.

The printer supports both Postscript Level 2 and PCL5/6 so almost any HP laserjet driver for models newer than the LaserJet 5 series ought to produce output, although you may not have access to certain specific features of your printer.

Try the Apple Laserwriter Plus driver. It's a pretty generic Postscript level 2 driver.

Hp have themselves realised that support for windows 7 is going to be important and have a universal laser printer driver that is windows 7 logo tested

Yes... it's interesting that they have Windows 7 logo tested. Look here: HP Universal Print Driver Series for Windows - Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center
There is no Windows 7. As I wrote Vista 64 driver doesn't work. Maybe problem is only on 64bit version of Win7 and for sure only on Windows neighbourhood shared version (my printer is shared on the other computer with Windows XP installed).

Direct from the link I provided ....
your link is for an early version i think? - version 5 of the driver is windows 7 certified
    Client operating systems supported:
Microsoft Windows Vista Business, Enterprise, Home Basic, Home Premium, and Ultimate; x86 and x64
Microsoft Windows XP (SP2 and later) Home Edition, and Professional; x86 and x64
Microsoft Windows 7 Starter, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate; x86 and x64
(Windows 7 Logo Program tested, Windows 7 Release Candidate 1, build 7100)

The 2200 series is included but is not plug and play so you will need to follow the documentation and manually install

The 64-bit universal postscript driver linked above works fine for my networked CP2025dn. I downloaded the package for 64-bit Vista, it installed into Windows 7 without the need for any compatibility setting and the package installation was completely nominal.

Couple of notes: I uninstalled the existing HP driver (from Windows Update) before installing the universal driver

after installation, the universal driver did not produce output, although all other indications were that it was working. If that happens, open the printers and other devices page in control panel, right click on the "HP Universal Printing" icon and click on "printer properties" then on the "ports" tab and make sure the printer is set to use a valid port. In my case, it was trying to print to 192.168.1.9_1 which is not a valid address. Selecting the HP standard port corrected the problem.
