Windows 7 (RC) - Motherboard Drivers

    Hi All,

I've recently installed Windows 7 (RC). I need the Motherboard Drivers. I have "Asus P5PE-VM Series" Motherboard. Intel 865G Chipset. Basically need Drivers for Display and Audio. I'm ready to buy a Graphics Card but my Motherboard doesn't have PCI Express Slot. I have a 22" ViewSonic Monitor, 3GHz CPU with 1GB DDR RAM. Kindly help me to have best experience with Windows 7 on the above mentioned hardware.

    Thanks.

You have an AGP x8 slot like me. If you want to have any decent level of gaming for today's games on AGP, I highly recommend any variant of the HD 3850 AGP.

I run the best one which is HIS Radeon HD 3850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X HDCP Ready IceQ 3 Turbo

    Newegg.com - HIS Hightech H385Q512ANP Radeon HD 3850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X HDCP Ready IceQ 3 Turbo Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

I highly recommend this one since it is well overclocked from the factory and you can manually overclock it a lot more. Well worth the price if you do not want to do a full system upgrade.

Find the drivers you need now here (you might have to try the XP ones, under download tab):

Do a Windows Update to see if places the correct drivers for you first, to get the sound up and running.

I'd replace the motherboard before spending anything on any AGP card, it just ain't worth it. You can get a decent PCIe board with built in '7' series graphics that's way better than AGP alone, and giving you a decent upgrade path for the future, all for less cost too

    Thank you buddy.

The audio's fine now. The video's good only for normal computing but is jerky when any video application is invoked.

Available graphics card is 6200 AGP with 256MB for Rs. 2800/- and 512MB for Rs. 3400/-. Is it worth buying? Or you recommend to change the motherboard. Then I'll have to change the entire System coz I have DDR RAM. Don't know if my processor will fit into the new board. And I have 250W SMPS. Please suggest.

I bought an AGP graphics card and was not satisfied at all at the end.
So, better get a new motherboard.
The 6200 AGP is junk.. same as ATi AGP alternatives....
If you want a brand new rig (HIGHLY RECOMENDED) get:
    INTEL
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 / E7200
    2*1 GB DDR 2 800 OR 2*2 GB DDR 2 800
GA-G31-ES2L [WARNING: this board only can support 4 GB RAM] OR a Intel P43 if you need 8 GB RAM support
a new graphics card (if you want to game minimum you should get is ATi HD 4670 or Nvidia 9600GT, if no gaming then Nvidia 8400GT/9400GT or ATi HD 4350/ HD 4550)
320 GB/640 GB Western Digital Hard Disk or bring over from old machine
A dvd-burner or bring it over from your old machine

You can also get away with an AMD dual core with AMD 780G motherboard (its integrated graphics is good enough for no-gaming) with the same above specs without the graphic card if no-gaming.

My post may be confusing to you but seriously get a new system if possible. IF POSSIBLE.. if you can't then get a slightly better card than the Nvidia 6200...

You need new "Proccesor"+RAM+Mobo+ Graphic card if you want todays technology..
