New Soundmax driver, also for Win 7 (not only AD2000, also AD1988, tested by myself with Win7/64)

I just received a new Asus Crosshair II Formula motherboard from RMA the Crosshair, excellence Asus tech support. And this new SoundMax driver work great!

Does not appear to be compatible with all soundmax devices as it doesn't work for SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio on my HP laptop.
Perhaps these are Asus based only...

Drop the suffix off that ftp link and you get to browse their FTP for the very latest version of the audio drivers!!!

As at 26/OCT/2009 there is a .6585 version of the drive on the ftp (posted there 21/OCT/2009)
