I had to dig through the archives but you can see several for XP available at download from Guru3D.com

The ATI 7.11 is an excellent older one that was about the last one mentioning the X1300 line in the description. That was two updates past the problematic 7.9 cat that came on the card's software/driver disk here. ATI Catalyst 7.11 XP (32-bit) download from Guru3D.com

That was the closest thing they had simply for the X1300s found there. I ran into this one however specifying ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 driver supporting 98 all the way to Vista at ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 - Xp and Vista drivers shareware however!

Once you have something that gets lost in archives you end up having to keep looking for some 3rd party source. Hopefully this will be more of a help to you there. Another one is seen at http://www.nodevice.com/driver/Mobil.../get34988.html

If you can ahold of tech support they will likely provide you with a link for an archived update. With the Radeon 5x00s coming out the 2x00s series will also be dropped after so many more newer catalyst versions as well. That's how they prompt you into buying something newer!

    Hi killerkris14,

maybe i have a solution for your problem.
I also have a notebook with ATI Mobility X1300 and I installed Win7-64 in the last days. And first there was no posibility to change to 1280x800.

But I found a tool to solve the problem.
I hope it is ok in this forum to post the link, it is ATI MobilityModder - DriverHeaven.net.

And i used "ATI Catalyst 7.11 Vista (64-bit)" from guru3d.com

    Good luck,

    Did this work?

I am hoping to be able to upgrade to windows 7 with my dell inspiron e1505 with this stupid ATI Raedon x1300 video card.

I just want to be clear? Were you able to use this modder which modded the video card driver so that it was compatible with Windows 7? Please let me know.

    Hi Deckard,

yes, I was able to use this modder tool. Without this tool I could only use 800x600 or 1024x768 and the ATI Mobility X1300 was not detected.

Now I used "9-3_vista64_win"-ATI-Driver, modded it and installed it (with some warnings during installation).
But the chip is detected and I can use 1280X800.

Until now I had no time to test other things like videos or games.
