See How to use the Snipping Tool in Vista - Vista Forums - a tutorial over at the sister Vista x64 site - it has everything you need to make it work, because the board software there and here is identical (and rightly so, as both are maintained by the same group of fine folks).
The power management problem I have been having is with my microsoft wireless mouse. I pull the usb adapter for the mouse and power management works great.
Windows 7 automatic updates is not bringing up the HID non-user input data filter update to fix the problem. I download the HID non-user input data filter here http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/...iewBasket.aspx, now I just have to fiqure out where to put it or how to install it.
Any ideas?
Good Morning Lappydog -
I went to the link in your message. I allowed it to install and saved it as a Favorite in Internet Explorer. I hope that is what You were asking. Also - It was somewhat laborious - but I went back to my Vista Install Listed all hardware in the Device Manager - names, versions, and driver dates. This allowed me to know for sure that the install of Vista Premium was equivalent - at least - to my Windows 7 Install. Let me know if I can assist You in any way. All the while we are learning together. God's Speed to You. Patrick
Justed used a logitech wireless mouse with my laptop and power management works great.
Too bad microsoft cant make it simple to use their own wireless mouse with their operating system (searching I see this was a problem with vista also, but auto update fixed it) , I know this is a beta, maybe the HID will auto updat in the next W7 version.
Lappydog - Windows 7 ATIRadeon Drivers have been posted to the AMD/ATI site, look at the posts on this site, those will lead you there. Once installed they work good. This beta of Windows 7 works much better than when I tested Vista. One very inmportant point to that last comment is that the dv5-11s5nr I am using has alot better resources. It occurs to me that the people that say that Vista is a sub-standard system are just not unwilling to consider that sufficent RAM as well as sufficent Video Capabilities are crucial in a well performing PC. I noticed also that the HID compliant mouse had loaded itself in my Device Manager - nothing special required. Good Hunting

I installed the Windows 7 ATI Radeon Drivers this afternoon. Shortly after I noticed the power management was working with my laptop and my microsoft mouse plugged in.
