    Administrative Privileges not recognized

Im trying to install the software for "Tascam TEAC professional," which is an external proccessor for hooking up a guitar or microphone to a computer or something like that. I am the only account on this laptop, which is a fairly new laptop running on Windows 7.
the guest account is unactiviated, and i have no password to my administrator account. the instructions say that this program should work with Windows XP, Windows Vista 32-bit SP2, Windows Vista-64-bit SP2, and any later version. Everytime i put the Tascam disk in and run it, after i click install and select the language, it says "Your user account must have administrator privileges to install drivers," and then gives me the option to click "Ok" and then it goes away. I have created other administrative accounts using my administrator account, but those had the same problem when i tried to install it. I have searched for two days for a solution to this, but have had no luck. This is very frustrating so if anyone has any solutions please tell.

oh on a side note, it worked a couple of times but then stopped half way through installing and said installation fail. i cant get it to do that anymore though, and im not sure how i got it to even get pass the initial problem.

While I am unsure that it is win 7 compatible especially on 64 bit, but to give it elevated privledges simply right click the installer and run as admin.

There is both a tutorial here on seven forums and a download to add the run as admin to your context menu.

Again verify that it is win 7 compatible first

Away you could get me a link to how to get that "run as Admin" option added? i just searched for it, again with no luck... i found a list of several things that can be done to make it run as administrator and none of them worked.

Whenever you install software that does not carry a Microsoft assigned digital signature, it will prompt for administrative approval, even if you are logged on with full administrative rights. This is a security feature that protects you. What if there were software on your PC that was malicious and you didn't know it. If it went ahead and installed itself without you knowing about it, you'd be in trouble. Personally, I love this feature.
