replyme, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Near as I can tell that webcam is a re-named/re-badged Creative webcam of some kind. Rocketfish (and Dynex as they are pretty much one and the same) for the most part does not make any of the products they sell, with most if not all of them just being someone else's with the Rocketfish or Dynex name on them (and not necessarily from the original manufacturer's current products either)

In the case of your webcam I had a look at both of the drivers available from here,

Search Results for webcam : Rocketfish

and of the two there both have the same VID of 19FF, with different PID's than yours (there is only one VID/PID in each). As far as the VID goes, going here,

    PCI Vendor and Device Lists

returns nothing for the VID and the PID isn't much better, it at least returns results but none of them are for a webcam,

    PCI Vendor and Device Lists

I also had a look at the drivers available here,

Search Results for webcam : Dynex

only one of the driver files would extract to let me have a look inside the INF (the first driver link for the discontinued webcam), which shows a VID of 19FF and a PID of 0102.

Would I be correct in assuming this webcam is more than a few years old? If so it might be easier to get a new webcam that does have Windows 7 support than trying to find something for what you have.

    Thanks Stormy13

I really appreciate your response and advice. I think I will follow your lead and look for a newer more current WebCam.
