RAID issue  

I am trying to raid0 2 HDD's, wich i got done. After i did that and tried to install windows 7 ultimate 64bit i get to a point where it asks me to load a driver. Well damn i am stuck cause none of them i downloaded work.

So i go for a second try, i have a promise sata card, so i put the drives on that and blah blah, works with windows 7 while on my single drive, but when i try to install the bios for that card it says installed 100% and i reboot. After reboot it says no BIOS installed and no drives are detected. I used the same promise card and hard drives on another PC and it works just fine. It is a windows XP machine. I want to see if i can get 1 of my odd variables to work with windows 7.

the promise sata 300 tx2 plus. I cant get the BIOS to load.(i made a CD that boots as a floppy diskette and ran the program, upon reboot still not loaded).

With the Biostar onboard raid, i got the array created, but when it was time to install windows it asked me for drivers the biostar site doesnt have. I tried to use the XP64 drivers and didnt work. I have tried sooo many ways.
I basically need a windows 7 x64 driver for the raid/SB600 chip on my biostar a770 a2+ mobo or a way to get the bios to install on the promise card i have.

Welcome. Thats quite a thing to put in your 1st post. I'd like to offer you some friendly advice seeing as its your 1st post here: try to be a little bit more polite and unassuming what what people will post here. You will find people are far more willing to help you out :) Removed

On to your RAID problem. Unfortunately I'm not sure how much success you will achieve. We seen a spate (~10 or so) threads specifically about installing Windows 7 to a RAID array. Not one has been succesful (and that includes me). I'm not sure why that is, but this is what we have seen here.....

If its bang for buck you are after, and a massive performance jump, then a SSD is soemthing you should consider, at least for the OS. Windows 7 is 90+% read, so a RAID does very little there. A SSD with an OS, however, flies along at the speed of light. If you go that route, installing a separate non-bootable RAID0 is easier (I have done it myself) as long as you are aware of the risk a disk failure carries.

I've had a look, and I can't see any drivers available for either of your options. The most recent driver for the Promise card is from 2005, so it won't work with Vista let alone Windows 7 (you can sometimes use Vista drivers in Windows 7). Also, the only download that I have been able to find for the AMD 770 chipset is AMD 7-Series Chipsets Disk Performance Utility, dated 2007.

No worries, RAID setups can be frustrating hence people tend to warn you about it. Fortunately almost all the members here rarely, if ever, spew crap. Do a search in these forums for "RAID" to get a flavour of the issues people are having...who knows you may be able to learn a few things off them that might help you.
