THANK YOU I mean seriously, I'm REALLY grateful, THANKS
Damn this is embarassing and awkward... I put all the drivers on a disc, put the disc in, scanned it for drivers... It took longer than normal, I was hopeful, but still it said it couldn't find any drivers.
You might need to follow the instructions from the Asrock download site ASRock - SATA Driver Installation Guide
Okay, I don't have any floppy disks, and my computer doesn't even have a floppy disk slot or whatever, so I tried with a DVD and with a USB, following those steps, and it still isn't finding anything
Sadly it's late now and I'm going to have to go to bed. Thanks for you help, and if you have anything else to contribute it'll be greatly appreciated when I re-check the thread in the morning.
Edit: I browsed to the invdividual folders and eventually landed on the win7 64bit folder... Scanned that on its own and it's found ****-loads, hopefully this is gonna wrork :)
I installed the drivers... It still ain't finding my HDD
Incase it helps, I also tried runing dban after installing the drivers didn't help; it couldn't find the hard drive either.
I've booted with ubuntu, it can see my HDD, but in gparted the "format to" option is greyed out. Why can't windows find my HDD?
