    also try this

    1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button,
    2. clicking Control Panel,
    3. clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
    4. Find these settings on the View tab in Folder Options.
    5. Clear the Hide empty drives in the Computer folder check box, and then click OK .

Makes sure that the card isn't write protected,if so there is a small notch on some cards that you need to slide into the right position in order for your reader to read the card.

In device manager your base system device driver should show a yellow exclamation point next to it if it needs the driver installed.
Once we have your system specs we can find the driver for you.
    Thanks Fabe

I'm sorry but without answering the qestions asked above were going to be hard pressed to help you.
Such as where it ws purhcased so we can locate the drivers and filling in your system specs with either the above speccy program or this one http://majorgeeks.com/HWiNFO32_d280.html

You can also go to device manager>click on the device>propetties>details tab>drop dwon menu>select hardware id>Copy and Paste the hardware id string and we can lok from there.
