    hp dv6000 code 28 unknown device driver issue


    i am using windows 7 ultimate n 32 bit in my hp dv6000 laptop. all drivers are working fine, but still there is an uninstalled driver shown for unknown device code 28.
    Please help me in this regard.

    I suspect your chipset driver, but no matter. At the HP driver site, download the Vista drivers. HP doesn't list drivers for Win7, but the Vista ones should work.

    Just to add a note don't forget to use compatibility mode when trying to install Vista drivers.https://www.sevenforums.com/

    Right click the device and select Properties. Then Details and select Hardware ID and post the results.

    Then we can identify the device and maybe find a driver.

    issue is resolved


    HI, Just thank to all of you!
    the issue is resolved, that was hp quick launch buttons. so idownload and install the driver via this link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45058.exe
