Please read your Speccy results to see exactly what model Ethernet adapter your computer has. If it isn't there, look under Network Adapters in your Device Manager.

Then using the exact model name and number go to the manufacturer's website (e.g. Realtek) Support Downloads webpage to search for the driver.

This is how you find the missing driver, which is always found.

In the future, before reinstall back up c:/windows/system32/drivers and /driverstore so you can reimport all of your installed drivers.

What are the exact listings under Network Adapters in Device Manager?

What are the devices which still don't have drivers, shown in error with an exclamation mark?

Ruby, from gregrockers link use this driver Realtek RTL8100E/RTL8101E/RTL8102E-GR/RTL8103E L /RTL8102E L PCI-E Ethernet Driver Vista/Vista64 , we have a lot of confusion here PBs, site states your desktop is an old legacy model running XP , you have stated it was supplied by an online retailer with win7 HP 64bit so here lies the confusion but try these drivers if needed install in compat mode
