Which driver for Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS,910GML Express graphics contro

I have installed Windows 7 (32-bit) on a Samsung X20 laptop computer with a Mobile Intel 915GM/GMS,910GML Express graphics controller. Obviously there is no Windows 7 driver for this controller, so the standard VGA driver is installed instead.

The Windows XP driver for the graphic card first installs under Windows 7 without any error messages, but when restart the machine the system tells me that it can't install the graphics driver.

What is the best way of using the 915GM/GMS,910GML graphics controller under Windows 7 - stick with the standard VGA driver?

Did you install the driver with compatibility mode? did you try this one http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...=1862&lang=eng

to do compatibility install right click the installer>properties>compatibility>check XP (SP3)>install it.

You may have to do it in safe mode

    ... worked ;-)

I had to run the installation program in XP (SP3) compatibility mode, and then it was no problem at all. Thanks a lot.

Did you try running Windows Update first? Many common drivers like that are available.

even if you get the driver it does not support aero. so i dont think there is a way to get aero on such old graphics chip.
oldest intel chip to support aero is GMA950 (945G)
