    ethernet driver


    Hi all,
    i hav an asus m4n68t m le v2 motherboard which has nvidia nforce network card. i am installing the ethernet driver but its askin me if i want 2 install storage driver aswell. i havent herd of this b4. do i install it?and wot does it do? any hlp will b great. thanks in advance

    If you have a nforce chipset, which it looks like you do, the storage driver should also be updated.
    Just make sure to go to nvidia and get the most recent nForce 630a drivers you can.
    I don't know if they have proper win 7 support for the 630a or not pretty sure they do though. I was able to find proper win 7 drivers for my old 680i model.

    cheers! ive already dloaded the drivers from the asus site as they hav a more recent 1.
    Wot does the storage driver do then?

    it's part of the chipset and ide controller package.
    If you don't have any unnamed items in your device manager I suppose you can live without it.

    I would just go to my device manager and as long as you don't see any yellow exclamation points, I would say all is well and enjoy your system.
