Windows says device driver installation failed for hp laserjet 1012. This despite printer working correctly. Every time on reboot I get this message. How do I stop windows from trying to install driver for a working device???
You have to reinstall your printer drivers or you're probably going to continue to get the error. If you are unsure how to go about updating your device drivers for the printer, I would suggest you start here:

Hmm so uninstall printer (delete from Printers or Device Manager ) then install driver again ??
