    touchpad synaptics & graphic ATI - Toshiba A300 15K PSAJ4E

    Hi

I'm desperately looking for correct drivers for Toshiba A300 15K PSAJ4E

I've tried already toshiba graphic drivers from their download page, tried some modded drivers as well - not working.
Win 7 keeps reporting problems with drivers and reseting them once in a while (33% of cases) - after reboot it's good again..

Worse are touchpad drivers - every 50% cases of startup fail. At that time neither touchpad (synaptics) nor KEYBOARD is working. WIN 7 reports some problems with drivers. Restart sometimes helps, bot not always. (I've tried maybe 4 kinds of drivers and nothing)

    Please help

The only place you'll find the correct drivers is the Toshiba website for your country.
If you already did that, make sure you are selecting the correct model number & the correct version of Windows before downloading.

My question is was this an upgrade from another OS or a clean install of Windows 7?

    I did find a solution I think.
    It's called driver genius professional.
This is an automated driver downloader and installer if you let it.
I've tried so many drivers and the problem still persisted.

The thing with driver genius, it will search by hardware dev/id.
So it ensures you have the correct driver.
Í've tried it yesterday and untill now no more hangs concerning the mouse/touchpad and no more conflict with the ATI card.
Did a test with a rebooter-tool and for more than twenty reboots in a row and no hangs.

Give it a try and let me know.

(I Also did two complete reinstalls (clean) of Win7 two different versions.
And normally I don't give programs like DriverGenius much credit but I've exhausted all my options and then I was like Hell I'll give it a try and it worked :) )

    Hi,
first of all thak you for reply

I tried Driver Genius Professional as you suggested, but it didn't work :/
didn't download any touchpad drivers, downloaded some ATI graphic, ATI HDMI driver, but it keeps happening still..
While system started in low resolution mode - this new version of ATI driver reported - no working ATI card (or sth like that).

So maybe it's problem with motherboard or what ? (so integrated devices have problems with start, don't know..)

which version of Driver Genius Professional did you use ?
maybe you can send/give me links to drivers that your version have downloaded ?

seems like I found solution finally

and nobody seems to share his/her experience before...

updating BIOS cured the problem. The version I had was 2.70, downloading and installing 4.50 from Toshiba site fixed everything. But... why nobody mentioned it !!
