Yep, this worked for me also, but I used the following instructions to get it all to work: Enable Logon Using Biometric Fingerprint Reader in Windows 7 x86 & x64

    Hope it helps,
    Mike

I've checked drivers you've posted. Working great, with windows biometrics too:) . Disable Credentials in Protect Tools to Log on, enroll fingerprints through Windows Biometrics and it should work.

And if you get a set-up failure try to clean reader surface.

Can you provide a source for these drivers? They are no longer on the Authentec site.

Unfortunately not much help. Nothing there for software, drivers, just product descriptions. I did find this about Truesuite:
TrueSuite software has been optimized for the Windows Biometric Framework (WBF) within Windows 7.
That's within the OS itself, not to log into the OS. I have sent an email to Authentec. I would suggest everyone do the same, otherwise they will never fix this problem.

The latest drivers show up in Windows Update. Why not go into the device properties and update the driver. Have it search Windows Update.

How is that possible since Windows 7 shows this device to be incompatible with 64 bit? That's from Microsoft's website, and I checked yesterday.

I also checked the drivers under device properties, and they said the drivers installed were the best, which is clearly wrong since it won't work correctly.

I'm using the AuthenTec AES1610 fingerprint sensor on Windows 7 x64 (64-bit drivers). I use it to logon to my system. In fact I just re-installed Win 7 on this laptop on July 3. The drivers were automatically installed during setup.

Now when you say it allows you to log on, are you already within the OS, or are you logging in from boot up?

Also, what type of computer are you using the AES1610 on? Mine is an Asus, and they are terrible about providing updated drivers. Maybe I could use the ones from your manufacturer.
