Well I must be a dumb ass. How do you install the driver? I went to the MS site, found the driver, downloaded it to my desktop, so I could find it, now how do I use it? I can't find the folder to put it in. I need help before I throw this out a window.
The file downloaded should be a .msu file. Just double-click the file and it should run.
On the MS site it asked for a folder name where to download the file. I had no idea so I chose desktop. I opened the ZIP, but I don't see the type of file you mentioned. What is the name of the file it should be downloaded directly to? My version is 2.0.0.4.
What files are in the zip?

No, go to the biometric device properties and update the driver. When it asks, point to the .inf file. That should start the update

when I right click on AES1610 it asks how do you want to search for drivers, which option do I choose search automatically or browse?

browse. It will bring up a dialog box and point to the inf file in the AMD64 folder
