    Strange mass storage controller

    [Win 7 64, Intel MOBO]

I have this strange device under mass storage controller:

    AVQ40QI6 IDE controller

Google doesn't knows it, provider unknown, date not available, etc.

Disabling it didn't affect the PC.

    Should I delete it?

    Thanks,
      My Computer

    Hi,

If disabling it done nothing then uninstalling it will just cause it to try to re-install when you reboot. Is it a fresh install of Windows 7?

I did an uninstall. After a reboot, a driver went back as AYF6IWI3 IDE controller also unknown, etc.
    Weird

I will just leave it disabled.

    Thanks again,
