    Acer Aspire 3000


    Hi, I just installed a win 7 to my friend's NTB Acer Aspire 3000. As i was browsing through acer.com I found out that this grandpa doesn't have a driver support for Win7 and Vista. This NTB has a SiS 900 based ethernet card for which I found drivers in the Windows 7 catalog. I also tried to install the original drivers from acer for XP and driver for SiS 900 based cards (v1.19) for win XP with no success. I also tried both drivers from this thread: SiS 900-Based PCi Fast Eternet driver to W7 . I tried to install them in both normal and safe mode with networking. All of the mentioned drivers seem to install well but when I connect the internet wire nothing happens. It says that the wire is not connected. The only options the network wizard shows are Dial-Up and Broadband (PPPoE). I need to connect to the LAN (router) with RJ11 cable. The Hardware ID's are:
    PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_0900&SUBSYS_00831025&REV_91
    PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_0900&SUBSYS_00831025
    PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_0900&CC_020000

    You could try this one from the SiS site.. if it works in vista it should also work in windows 7.
