    SCSI/RAID Host Controller

I get this error when trying to update to Windows 7.

These devices might not work properly after the upgrade. Before upgrading, we recommend updating the drivers for these devices. Cancel the upgrade, open Control Panel and search for "update device drivers", or go to the device manufacturer's website to search for updated drivers.Storage controllers: SCSI/RAID Host Controller

These programs might not work properly after the upgrade. We recommend uninstalling these programs before upgrading. Cancel the upgrade, open Control Panel, and search for "uninstall a program". (Note: Programs marked as * can be safely reinstalled after the upgrade.

But when I search for updates for the devices but nothing comes up. Can anyone help?

Please post your system specs under your User Profile - not in this thread, but in your profile.

I will conclude that you are searching for updates using Windows Update. If so, this is not the right place to look.

*Device Manager uses the same files as Windows Update

As my learned collegue said three days ago. Add you system specs to your user profile so we can know what we are dealing with. If you dont know how its ok just ask. Or just post them. without them we cant help you

support.dell.com - use your service tag to isolate the correct drivers. If there are no Win7 drivers available, get the Vista drivers.

Since that is alls you want to know, ignore the following:

If it fails to install the driver due to OS conflict:

    The self-extracting file will create a folder - C:\Dell\Drivers\RRxxxxxx

From device manager, locate the splat (yellow icon) for your device. Open it, choose install or update driver. Browse your computer for file. Navigate to C:\Dell\Drivers\RRxxxxxx. Open the folder containing the INF (if necessary). Install driver. Click through any warnings.

Replace the MS driver u r using with the Dell driver. Run the upgrade advisor again. MS is telling you that they don't have a driver, which I don't believe anyway. You could go to Intel and get drivers, but you are overthinking this.
