net stop "AudioSrv" System error 5

Can anyone help me please? I have a FW-1082 mixer/sound device connected to a firewire pcie card, and my problem is that whenever i try to shutdown or restart computer i get a bsod. after some research on the net, i have found that i can make a net stop .bat file to stop "AudioSrv" and "AudioEndpointBuilder". However when i run the batch file for the "AudioSrv" i get a System error 5 has occurred, Access is denied, message. Can anyone please tell me how i can resolve this?

    Hi

Im wondering if it wouldn't be better to try and resolve the problem w/o the bat file. Have you tried different drivers for the 1082? The bat file might need to run as admin. Check it by opening a cmd (type cmd in search) window and right clicking. highlight run as administrator and run the bat file. see if that works. If not there are other options.

Let me know if this doesn't work

Hi Ken, Unfortunately Tascam who make the FW-1082 have not released any windows 7 drivers yet. I have tried installing in both vista and xp compatibility mode but exactly the same problem occours, this seems to be the only fix i can find until the new drivers are released. Anyway running .bat as admin worked a treat! Thanks.
