The ASUS site is the best place for drivers. If this link works it will take you straight to the download page for your board; ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P7P55D-E LX

Just install the latest Stable version. Don't install updates for new CPU sockets.

For the bios update, the latest one only as it contains all the fixes from the previous ones. Looking at the list of fixes in the latest one, I would install it.

As for the motherboard drivers just use the Intel Update Utility,

The audio and LAN you can get from Via and Realtek respectively.

Kodiak420: Last ASUS motherboard I had incorporated a utility (think it was called EZ-Flash) that allowed you to first, save off the existing BIOS, and then, flash using the new BIOS. That way, if the new BIOS was a problem, you could reboot and reload the old, working, BIOS.

Check the manual for your motherboard. It will tell you about BIOS flashing utilities.

Also, ASUS used to provide a downloadable utility you could run.

It's EZ Flash 2 now Mark, and it is even easier too use. All that is needed is a USB key with the bios file on it. Full details on it will be in the motherboard manual. About the only danger with using it is if the power goes off while flashing.

Anyone Have An Asus A8N-SLI MB?
I messed up. My BIOS chip arrived in the mail, and I got so anxious to install it, that I popped the old one out before checking it's orientation. Even if I had, I'm not certain that it would have been the total answer, because the new chip appears to be generic and has a paper label that doesn't...
