    Hello pasky
I am not sure what your problem is supposed to be are you talking about the CD?
Windows 7 support is limited for your board have a look here for the Vista drivers ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P5N-E SLI and try installing them in Compatibility Mode

Please don't do that. Use that disk as a coaster or something, anything but for trying to install chipset drivers for Windows 7 as there are no Windows 7 compatible drivers on it.

Pooch is on the right track but even Asus isn't the place to get them from, as Asus hasn't updated the driver page for that chipset since 2006, and even them it is only a beta Vista driver. Instead just get the chipset driver directly from Nvidia,

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.57 WHQL

For the onboard Realtek audio you can find the latest driver for it here,
