    [help] sony vaio fs 640w chipset driver for windows 7 does not work !!


    my sony vaio fs640w had problems with video controller, after intalled win7 32bit, just only standard VGA Graphics adapter working, video controller didn't. my sony used Intel 915GM/GMS/910GML chipset, plz help me with this

    The only driver that will work with that old Intel 915G graphics is the last XP driver as Intel has dropped all support for it,

    Graphics — Older Intel® graphics controllers and Microsoft Windows 7* operating system

    With it being a Sony laptop and knowing how Sony works you will likely have to get the driver Sony, as they don't like to allow the sue of reference drivers on their computers for some reason. Use the link marsmimar posted and look up your specific model of Vaio and get it from there.

    at first,thank all discussion, i tried sony's site, actually, 915GM chipset just allows xp os, I restored my laptop into xp.
