    InsydeH20 BIOS Re-install

Could someone tell me how I can re-install this BIOS. It is not recognizing the hard drive. I have been able to determine that the hard drive is there and working but the BIOS does not see it so I can not boot from it. All of the InsydeH20 BIOS I have found seem to only want to work from a working copy of Windows and since I can't boot into windows this won't work. The BIOS does see and can boot from the CD/DVD drive.
The computer is a HP G60-549DX notebook...

    Thanks for any help...

    Sam

If the hard drive isn't being recognized, a BIOS update is unlikely to fix the issue. You aren't using a third-party, hacked, BIOS, are you?

You might try to access to the CMOS battery of your laptop, hidding somewhere from the removable cache plates screwed under.

Let it for about 45minutes to an hour then it will reset the bios to default.

You can try if HP provide the bios, reinstall it or try a call at their support.

In another manner try to search Google keyword "Recovering Bios" and you'll find hundreds of infos.
