Monitor driver for ACER Aspire 5334

Does anyone know of a driver for the Acer Aspire (laptop) monitor. The one I have is generic and I searched hi and low for a product specific driver. And yes, I checked acers website to no avail.

Thanks, I dl'd and installed the latest graphics drivers but my display still shows up as 'Generic PnP monitor'. The Intel link above reports.....

A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

And I checked the Acer website as I explained above.

The specs page was very helpful. Now I know what I have. Thanks again.

You will probably be better served leaving the laptop's driver as is. They come installed with a monitor specific driver since the monitor cant be easily changed. Display and Display Adapter are two different devices. The graphics driver would not change how the display is listed.
That said, if you attach an external monitor, you could get the driver for it.

Every time I've changed/updated a monitor driver in Windows 7 it changes the color background on the photo viewer and it drives me nuts, I always go back to the generic driver....

Me too Sedril. On Color Management set your advanced Device Profile setting to that shown in the snip below, that should fix it.
