Laserjet 1320 drivers for Win7 x64 (hosted on a Mac)

I have an HP Laserjet 1320 connected to a Mac. I'm trying to get it working under Win7 x64, but HP seems to be playing with the Windows 7 drivers for this printer. Yesterday, there was a link for Win7 x64 drivers on this page:

HP LaserJet 1320 Printer series - Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center

But clicking on the link got you a "File not found" error. Today, there's no link at all.

In the past, I was able to get this printer working with a generic Postscript driver (Apple Laserwriter 600 PS) under XP 64-bit. However, I've tried a couple of other basic Postscript drivers (Lexmark and HP), but can't seem to get the printer to print anything more complicated than a test page. When printing to the shared printer with a non-specific Postscript driver, the output just vanishes (except the test page, which came out OK with the Lexmark, but not HP driver).

Does anyone know of a basic Postscript driver that will work with CUPS (the Mac printing system?) Or better yet, have a link to a 1320 Postscript driver? I'm pretty sure the PCL driver won't work with CUPS...

I'm using the Bonjour printing software from Apple to find and setup the printer.

    Thanks...

You could try the vista 64 bit driver whie you wait for another driver - never know it might work - we were doing this all the time with the beta versions of windows for multiple devices with a good percentage of success. If the driver wont install normally and produces an error do the following :

To install a driver/program in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try the Vista driver tonight when I get home. I knew Vista video drivers were "forward compatible" with Win7, but I didn't think the same applied to printers.

Windows 7 has provided with one nice "driver surprise". My "Mac-only" USB tuner was recognized by Windows 7, and I was able to get it set up (with some twiddling) and watching TV. So far I'm impressed, though the printer situation is a bummer.
