OK, so im currently going through an upgrade from Vista 64bit to 7 64bit and I have this card currently installed using the 64bit drivers from aBit's site. During the install, I am getting to the screen where its Transferring files, settings and programs and then a BSOD hits, kicks out the install and reverts back to Vista. Should I uninstall the driver to the card prior to the install of 7 and then do the Atheros trick?

    thanks in advance.
Yes, uninstall the Vista drivers before you start upgrading.

None of you have the problem I do with the generic "AR5006X" driver? My computer crashes all the time while browsing. I can't close tabs or anything. At times music start skipping and stuff. Anyone with the same problem?
Have you tried the AR5006EG driver?

Here is an unofficial driver I edited to work on Windows 7 x64. I used the Atheros drivers and edited the ini. Theses are test drivers and I cannot offer any real support but I hope they work for other people like it did on mine.
    Driver version is v7.6.1.162.
I just signed up to say thanks, I've been trying to get this F*****G thing to work for ages. I heartily thank you

windows installed fine but 7 is not detecting that the wifi card is installed
it's not there in device manager and a reboot or scan for changes doesn't seem to be locating the card.... I know it works as u used it just befor I installed 7
I did do a fresh install
edit sorry it was staring me in the face... It was what I though was the network LAN ports on my mobo

EDIT: after I downloaded the test drivers (turgo's) what should I do with them??!!

you cant use the Airpace software, you must use windows configurations

there may also be another hardware conflicting which could be why iys not sowing.... go into bios and temp disable any network controllers then re boot, also try using the detect new hardware feature
