    Widcomm driver for Lenovo T61


    i m on Lenovo T61 and windows 7, the RTM 7600. my bt working okay though i don't try to install the driver. however is it a problem of the speed? i m looking for the driver for widcomm...

    is this one better or what?
    pls kindly explain cos when i tried to add my n82, i got the driver error for the Peripheral items... something.

    SoLor... everytime i tried to update, i got this error as in the screenshot. any idea or further advice pls?

    no idea, i assume your bluetooth dongle is not supported for some reason it took quiet few months since they released update tool and to the point that supported my asus dongle. You could try some drivers directly from lenovo, for some other laptop. OR you can add hardware id in any broadcom driver and install from there (i was adding asus id in to anycom/broadcom drivers)...

    solor, thanks for yr reply. i m interested in adding ID to the widcomm driver. but how? may u kindly guide me thru, mate? regards

    there is file inside win32/brcm directory named Bcbtums-x86-brcm.inf (Bcbtums-x64-brcm.inf inside Win64/brcm for x64) . there you need to add proper lines in to [ControlFlags],[Broadcom] ([Broadcom.NTamd64] for x64) and [Strings]. What are proper strings is best to copy/past from your current Vista drivers from manufacture. But bottom line is, [ControlFlags] is HWID, [Broadcom] is type of install for that HWID and [Strings] is string for that dongle that will show up in Device manager.

    oh Solor. great advice. however it seems very advance to me.
    however if u may, it is much appreciated as you may help to do it for me.
    if so, you may advise me on what file and info you need from my lenovo, then i ll supply you those stuff, and you help to mod it for me.

    If you look around on lenovo's site they have beta drivers for windows 7.

    yes, but those drivers is excluded the BT.
