    Bios update

I had an Intel Celeron 420 1.6Ghz on my Asus P5G-mx.
I updated the bios tu the latest version.
Few days ago i upgradeed to Intel Pentium E5700 3.0Ghz x2.
It shows me before the booting that i need to update the bios but i already have the latest bios!
Should i update it again to the same latest version??

    PLS HELP!!

Hi, I know that this thread is old, but I actually have the same motherboard as you Asus P5G-MX and i ordered the same intel E5700 core 2. It has not arrived yet tho, and seeing that you had a problem makes me worry. I see the E5700 is not listed as compatible with P5G-MX, only to P5G-MX/1333. So could you please tell me if it worked for you with the bios update? or did you changed the hardware?
I would really appreciate if you reply as soon as you can. Cheers.

The E5700 work well on P5G-MX,Its just that It shows a messege before the OS boot
and you must press F1 every time you turn on your PC.
