tdx.sys causing BSOD - Fixed!

I have Windows 7 installed on two laptops. One is a Dell Latitude D803 and the other a HP Compaq 6710b. Both would BSOD approximately every 5 minutes. 'TDX.SYS' was the culprit. After running WinDBG I noticed that it was a issue with my network adapter driver 'b57nd60a.sys'. Both laptops have the same network adapter (Broadcom NetLink Gigabit Ethernet) and both were crashing (x32 & x64 versions). I finally went to Broadcom's website and found drivers at the following links:

If one doesn't work they other will. Basically when 'TDX.SYS' causes a BSOD it is usually the result of a driver(s) (and some antivirus apps) that aren't fully compatible with Windows 7. You should run WinDBG and find out what driver is causing the error. It's not as hard as you think!

P.S. Don't worry if you can't get the symbols to install properly. You should still see the file that is probably causing the error listed. If you Google the file(s) you will be on your way to fixing the issue.

I too was suffering the 'tdx.sys' BSOD about every 15 minutes on my Dell XPS M1330 with Broadcom NetLink 5906M.

I can report that updating to the latest version of the driver for my NIC from the Broadcom webpage (note: not those linked to in the previous post) has resulted in a stable environment.

Ill now attempt to reload most of the software I'd removed in attempt to diagnose the issue !!

I encountered this issue after installing the latest driver for the Broadcom 57xx NIC in my Precision M90. After rolling back to the base driver that came with Windows 7, the issue is gone.

My problem was similar but I was not having any trouble with my physical hardware network card. Actually, the problem was caused by the Virtual Network Card installed by VMWare Workstation. The problem was solved when I disabled this virtual adaptor on the Device Manager. The system is now stable :)

Interesting. My issue actually started after installing VMware but was solved after rolling back the NIC driver for the physical adapter. (I was too stubborn to uninstall VMware).

I think it could be anything trying to access the TDX.sys. After getting BSODs for few times, I thought of taking out the only thing that I installed yesterday. It is the Norton 360 beta for Windows 7.

As soon as I took it off the machine stabilized.

I've got an ASUS PC1000H netbook that I recently upgraded to W7. For antivirus I tried Kaspersky, Norton and finally ESET. I think that every one of them is giving me the BSOD about every 15 minutes (sometimes sooner, sometimes over an hour will go by in between BSODs). I've updated the LAN driver (not broadcom like in previous posts), but I don't know what to try next. Any suggestions?

Asus PC100H Netbook 1GB RAM (2GB RAM upgrade will be delivered today) and 160GB hard drive.

Having this same issue. Just downloaded the BC driver and hoping this will solve the problem. Previously I un-installed Kaspersky as I was getting bsod with kl1.sys (guessing that was a K/AV file). The TDX error is newer and I will monitor... Otherwise, Win7/7000 is GREAT. Runs faster than even my XP install did on this Dell Latitude D830! Good job MS!

I haven't had a BSOD in 2-3 days. Everything seems good to go with AVG 8.0 Free. All other antivirus programs seemed to give me the BSOD every 15 minutes or so. Very very happy...
