    Cd rom drive is not showing


    I have got real problems this time,my cd rom drive is not showing as a unit and is not responding the pc suggests that i have driverproblems please help,i am as green as ....!!! so if aanyone can help me with this problem,you would have to explain it like i am a six year old please advice Kind Regards Asser

    Your best bet is to go to the CD drive manufacturer's support site and download then install the latest drivers.

    If you don't feel competent to do it yourself, find someone who is, and get them to open your computer up to check that the CD drive's power lead and motherboard lead are connected properly at both ends of the cables.

    You haven't said, but I'm assuming you've got a desktop computer?

    have tryed that but can not open the zip file that is how ****ed up i am

    In that case, you need to unzip the contents of the file before you use it.

    This freebie should do the job for you: 7-Zip

    Just unzip the downloaded file, and then run the installer.
