Where did you download the driver from? was it for win 7 or another OS? Was it installed in safe mode (F8)?

Do you have an OS dvd, a backup, and a restore point?

all hardwares must their specific driver to work, however they are not the same.

it's best to contact the hardware vendor for the drivers. check the bundled cd that came with your hardware, or go to their site to obtain them - they usually post their driver online too.

Download your chipset drivers here: Laptop Driver Downloads:

It would apear your Toshiba is a discontinued model, so when you download any drivers for it I'd advise you save them first, and then install them.

I tried that link a few times recently, but the problem doesnt go away.
Dont know if theres any link to to problem with Skype also. I try to access Skype but it "Cant find a webcam" apparently.
The yellow triangles still occur next to the list under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers". Very annoying.

Have you tried asking Toshiba? They may have a solution for you.

Hi there! I bought my Toshiba laptop back in 2008 and got it with pre-installed Vista Home Premium 32 bit. The recovery DVD came with it, so I've never had the actual discs with drivers, just this recovery DVD. Now, I want to upgrade to/clean install Windows 7 32 bit (I've got the installation disc) and I would like to know what's the procedure in this case... how do I obtain potential driver updates if I don't actually have them anywhere but on my recovery DVD? Thanks :)

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

It would have been better to start your own thread as dealing with two issues for different people can get a tad confusing.

You can download drivers from Toshiba before you start: Laptop Driver Downloads:

For a clean install of Windows, this tutorial should help: Clean Install Windows 7
