Hey guys, is there any advantage to installing these if I've already got 8.12 installed / stable?

I'll install them anyway. Damn curiosity lol

Well you can forget about using the ATI install manger to remove previous drivers. Bl**dy useless. It was a fight to install Cat 8.12 last night and a smaller fight to install these

The best bet for anyone installing these drivers would be to:

Uninstall the driver from device manger, ticking "Delete the driver software for this device" box.

Once the driver is removed use the ATI cleaning tool to remove Catalyst Conrol Center etc

Reboot and then install the new package.

Just running the installer and ''Uninstall previous versions" results in the installer hanging. Installing over the top without Uninstalling results in hanging. It took me about an hour last night to remove the 7 supplied driver and then install Cat 8.12 with all that hanging

New driver installed, old cat version. Go figure.

I may not have 'broken' anything this time, but I gave it a good go
And yeah, I wasn't having any problems with the old driver either. I just couldn't help myself
