    CCC doesnt work anymore

    Hi all,

My Catalyst Control Center doesn't work anymore since I updated it. If I click it, the loading mouse flickers a few times and then disapears. It's a common issue, but I didn't find a solution. I tried it all. Now, I found this one: Problems with installing Catalyst Control Center
But the problem is, when I try to delete the 90ba9c70f846762e files, It wont let me. I am the only user, and admin. Any solution? Other solutions to this problem are welcome!

    Thanks!

    - I guess it was 11.1 to 11.2, a little time ago
    - ATI Radeon HD 5670, windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz.
    - Desktop PC

EDIT: My pc is brand new, but the monitor is verry old. Is that a problem?

Well the newest drivers are 11.10. Get them here - ATI Radeon (Catalyst Software Suite)

From support.amd.com. All current as of Sep 2010....

    - How to Uninstall ATI drivers
    - How to install ATI Drivers

And BTW What monitor, type of monitor is this anyway? But no, the monitor shouldn't cause the issues you're experiencing.

I can't say what that monitor is with the info you provided. Sorry.

As for CCC not opening, are you actually installing CCC? Have you looked at this link - How to install ATI Drivers? Yes or No? Did you get the driver package from the link I provided? Yes or No?

    Thanks.

Yes I did exacly the things that the link said. Removed, rebooted, downloaded, installed. The CCC is in my Program files, but when I click on it, the mouse flickers a bit and then nothing. The process pops up and a second later is disappears again.

That's odd. Not sure I know what happening as this isn't normal. Do you have all the Important and Recommended updates installed on Windows? Including all the .Net updates? If you don't have the .Net updates that will cause problems with CCC.

Also do you have SP1 installed? Check Windows Update

Have you checked under Recommended or Optional updates? See if any .Net updates are there? If so, do install them.

Other than that all I can offer at this point in time is to point you here - [SOLVED] catalyst control center wont start??????????? - Page 2 - Rage3D Discussion Area
