    Universal Serial Bus Contoller

    Hey everyone

As some of you know I recently built my first computer and have limited experience with everything. I just noticed I have been getting this error and cannot find a fix.

The device for Universal Serial Bus (usb) controller is not intalled. Install the latest driver for the device.

I went to the Intel website to try and find a fix but got confussed becasue am not sure what my chipset is? I intalled one program but it didn't fix the problem.

My system is Windows 7 64 mobo Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3, 8 ram and a gigabyte gtx 550 Ti graphics card.

No worries, help is here :)

According to GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (rev. 1.0), your motherboard uses the Intel Z68 Express chipset.

More details about this chipset as provided by Intel here: IntelĀ® Z68 Express Chipset

Direct link to the correct .INF chipset driver files here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...=3301&lang=eng

If you still have no USB device controller after this, see if you can rightclick the missing device in Device Manager and let Windows find the correct files on its own.
