Problems with my Nvidia Geforce Driver G102M

Hello, so recently i have installed windows 7 ultimate it installed Nvidia drivers everything was fine. Than the next day i turned on my laptop and my screen was in 800x600 resolution and the driver was set to VgaSave, than i tried opening Nvidia settings and it said "You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU." So then i installed my drivers manually by going to nvidia.com and searching for the right one. After that it worked fine for 2-3 days, but even though the drivers worked the action center still told me that i need to install my Video card driver. today i turned on my laptop and same thing happened again my screen resolution was set to 800x600, driver was set to VgaSave and when i tried opening Nvidia setting it said "You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU." When i go to Device Manager and check for error in Properties it says: "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)". If anyone would help that would be great.
P.S everything worked fine on Windows Xp, this just happened when i installed windows 7 ultimate.

Hi MariusJ, Welcome to Seven Forums.
Go to Nvidia D/L page using IE. D/L both Graphics & Display drivers using the auto find feature. Go to Programs and Features and uninstall ALL Nvidia. Reboot. First, install the Graphics drivers but untick option for Display drivers. Reboot again. Now install Display drivers. If offered updates from Windows Update, ignore them, MS only give Digitally Signed ones and are usually older than the latest ones from Nvidia.
Install as shown in my image, with your FW & AV disabled.

Hello, I'm having the same problem for more than an year now, since i installed w7, but couldn't find an solution, and then i find this thread and my hopes to finally fix this problem are high. But this solution didn't work for me, or i didn't understand the instalation process, so I ask Roderunner if he can please help me by explaning a few things.

The file in your example picture "ccsetup312.exe": is this an example name or do I nead to find that file.
The installation package doesn't allow me to install the graphics driver and the display driver separatly. the driver i found was version 285.62 Maybe i nead an older version of the driver, but that driver release date is prior to this thread so i figured that is the one.

So anyway i figured i could bother somebody with my problem.

Please help.

The file in my example was only for demo purposes. When installing the Motherboard/Graphics drivers, it includes Display drivers. This is normal and should be done. Now when you install the Display drivers everything should be OK. After installing both, re run the Auto Search to confirm.
