Number of new device drivers simultaneous search

    Hi.

When I have several new devices, for example device1, device2, device3, windows starts to search drivers for all three devices simultaneously.
    it looks like:
    device1 searching
    device2 searching
    device3 searching

And it searches up to four devices in parallel (as far as I noticed).

Is there some way to change this behaviour?

I need windows to search driver for one device at a time. and start to search for next device only after first device driver setup complete. and so on.

    it should look like:
    device1 searching
    device2 waiting
    device3 waiting

    thanks!

I'm curious...why do you need the devices to be installed one by one?

What devices exactly are we talking about?

because target system drive is very slow. it can't provide enough disk performance for parallel driver search.
change drive to faster one is not acceptable.

it doesn't matter. just ordinary system devices which are found when system starts on a new hardware.

Why don't you just simply download the driver packages directly from the hardware manufacturer's website and then manually install them? Follow any instructions provided, and in the cases where multiple drivers need to be installed, the specific installation order.

guys, i don't need advices how to install drivers another way.
manual install is not available in my environment. windows should install drivers automatically,
because nobody knows in advance what hardware will be in target computer.
i do use driverpacks from manufacturers. and windows knows where to find them on local computer.

the point is not about windows can't find drivers. the point is how windows searches for drivers when it discovers new hardware automatically.

i need a solution how to change windows's default behaviour that was described in first post.
