    ASUS WL 138g v2 driver

    Hi

I have just got this wireless card ASUS WL 138g v2. I'm having problems with it contecting to any networks it finds the networks and then I type in the secuirty code and then it keeps saying unable to connect to the network. I have tried the built in drivers in Windows 7 and also downloaded the vista drivers from Asus website but it has not worked? Does this sound like a driver problem? If so does anyone know where I can find a driver that works on Windows 7?

    Thanks,

I find this odd, because all my Wlan card is WL138G V2, all of them functioned wery well even during installations. But i have had others cards that i had to reset my Router, set it to WEP security and then after that WPA. same code, same network. Wery strange. Some of my Clients Laptop will not connect to my wlan, ill do the ususal thing and they are out surfing. I guess my Router i kinda f.....d up, but i dont care.

    Hi

Since posting this thread I have updated to newer drivers for this card and they seem to be working better. Using the Broadcom ones from their website rather than the Asus ones that are out of date. Now it seems to connect first time. So hopefully I have fixed it :)

I've already bought D-Link SWL-G510, and it works perfectly with W7.

Saw you've solved the problem with Broadcom drivers - great. Glad to hear this.
Although I have a new card now, I'll use the ASUS with another comp ...so, thanks a lot for the help wizkid.

    Best regards
