    Sigmatel/IDT audio driver stac9271d

I am having problems with audio drivers in windows 7 x64 ultimate with my DP35DP motherboard. I need a driver that detects front panel and outputs audio with it without crashing audiodg.exe, thing is, my motherboard's back panel audio jack(the green one) is messed up and only outputs the left speaker and the right speaker is muted so i cannot use the High Definition audio driver because it does not detect my front panel audio jacks. Any help is appreciated otherwise recommend me a good soundcard that is not too expensive and works with windows 7.

EDIT: Found a driver called AUD_allOS_5790.3x_5713.7v_PV_IDTGUI_v83 that works for me without crashing audiodg or anything else.

    Welcome to SevenForums:

If you would please go to your device manager click on your sound device>properties>details tab>drop down menu>select hardware id.

Copy and paste the hardware Id string and we'll see if we can find you a working drver.
    Thanks Fabe

    Thanks
From what I can gather Sigmatle was bought out by IDT and the drivers were never updated.
However if you go to Microsoft update catalog http://catalog.updat...arch.aspx?q=idt enter in Sigmatel you'll find a slu of drivers to chose from.

Darn, That's a bummer . Intel even discontinued this motherboard(dp35dp) so i cannot even get driver updates now, oh well. I will try some of the drivers listed in the catalog and keep my progress posted here.

    Thanks thefabe =)

    Didn't work

Tried them, none of them worked and gave error "the device cannot start". Well i will try the ver 20001 drivers from intel and maybe do some edits here and there to make this darn onboard sound work.

Even if you find a XP or better a Vista driver you can try installing it using this method https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ility-mode.htm

    Good luck, post back.

    thefabe,

I did not knew that compatibility mode works for drivers, well i used that to solve my gamepad problem (VL807 Network joystick driver). Nice, and by the way thank you for assistance.

Windows update replacing Sigma Tel audio Driver with IDT codec

I have a Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop. Audio was working great until a Windows 7 update replaced the original Sigma Tel driver with this IDT codec that does not work. It completely ruined my audio. Trying to find a driver without having to buy a third-party "driver manager" program has gotten to be an intolerable pain in the *($. The only solution seems to be to reinstall the original software and to never, ever allow Windows updates again.

    Any other ideas?
