    i have problem during installation Windows 7...


    i am unis Win7 last one year and reinstall it many times but now there is common issue i search this problem in Google and apply all methods but i can't install new windows in my PC...
    here is the my PC requirements
    Dell GX Optiplex 280
    1.5GB of RAM
    160GB and 40GB of hard drives
    256MB ATI Graphic

    Are you using a Windows ISO ? if yes I also had that issue but I downloaded another ISO and it was fixed

    It's asking the the SATA controller driver, you need to go to Dell, put in your service tag # and dll the SATA controller driver for your comp, put it on a floppy disk, insert the floppy and tell it to look there for the driver and then you can go on with the install.

    here is my SATA drive name please give me the drivers...
    ST3160815AS
    it is a segate drive..

    It's not the drive itself you need drivers for, it is the controller that is on the motherboard. If it's an Intel you would just need the Intel RST drivers from their website, download the F6 floppy files and put them on your USB drive... Then when you are at the drive configuration page, hit load driver and you should be good...
